2. Ignore anyone inside offering "taxi?" / "transport" — unlicensed, no flat fare.
3. Verify it's a real Paris taxi:
   • Roof sign "Taxi Parisien" (green light = free, red = occupied)
   • Taximeter visible on dashboard
   • Fare + licence notice on rear left window
   • Small black plate "PARIS + licence #" on front right fender
